What Is in JointBrex? Every Ingredient and Amount

Quick answer

Each two-capsule serving of JointBrex lists eight ingredients with exact amounts.

Glucosamine sulfate 1,000 mg, boswellia extract 133.3 mg, chondroitin sulfate 100 mg and turmeric root 100 mg lead, with quercetin, methionine, MSM and bromelain at 16.7 mg each. It contains crustacean shellfish (crayfish).

Learn how these ingredients are meant to work.

Overview

What are the JointBrex ingredients?

Eight ingredients, every amount printed on the bottle.

Inside JointBrex brand graphic: glucosamine sulfate, boswellia, chondroitin, turmeric, quercetin and methionine around the bottle
The brand graphic shows six names around the bottle. The label lists eight, with an amount next to each one.

JointBrex lists eight active ingredients on its label. Two capsules give glucosamine sulfate 1,000 mg, boswellia extract 133.3 mg, chondroitin sulfate 100 mg and turmeric root 100 mg. Then come four small extras: quercetin, methionine, MSM and bromelain, at 16.7 mg each.

Added up, that is about 1,400 mg of active ingredients a day. Glucosamine alone makes up about 71% of it. So this is mainly a glucosamine product with smaller helpers around it.

This page lists every ingredient with its amount, explains each one in plain words, and compares each amount with the doses used in research.

Glucosamine is the main ingredient by a wide margin.

Here is the full list from the Supplement Facts panel, in label order. The amounts are per serving of two vegetable capsules. The last column shows each ingredient's share of the total active weight. We worked that out from the label numbers.

Boswellia extract: the research

Pooled trials used 100–250 mg of extract and found pain gains, but trial quality varied a lot (Yu et al., 2020).

JointBrex sits inside that range by weight.

Other ingredients

What are the other ingredients in JointBrex, and is there shellfish?

Two fillers and one allergen line to read closely.

The other ingredients are cellulose, which forms the vegetable capsule, and rice flour, a common filler. The label also says: "Contains: Crustacean shellfish (crayfish)."

That line matters. Glucosamine in supplements is usually made from the shells of shellfish (LiverTox, Glucosamine, 2018). U.S. law treats crustacean shellfish as a major allergen and requires the type, here crayfish, to be named (FDA Food Allergies (crustacean shellfish), 2026).

Allergists say the risk of a reaction to glucosamine is likely very low, but not zero (Food Allergy Canada, Ask the allergist, 2023). Our post on glucosamine and shellfish allergy covers this in more detail.

Honest dose check

Are the JointBrex doses the same as in the studies?

One ingredient in range, one close, six small.

Only one of them is. Boswellia is inside the studied range by weight. Glucosamine is a bit under the usual dose. The rest are well below what research used. The bars show each label amount as a share of a typical research dose.

One more detail. The label does not say how the boswellia extract is standardized, so we can't match it to a specific trial extract.

Sales page vs label

How the JointBrex sales page ingredient list differs from the label

Six names and no numbers on one; eight names with numbers on the other.

The brand's sales page shows six ingredients, but no amounts at all. It leaves out quercetin and methionine, which are on the label. It also calls the turmeric "curcumin", while the label says plain root.

None of this changes what is in the bottle. It just means the label is the source to trust. Here is how the two compare.

Evidence

What does research say about the JointBrex ingredients?

Best for boswellia and turmeric. Weakest for glucosamine and chondroitin.

The evidence is mixed, and it is weakest for the main ingredient. The 2019 American College of Rheumatology guideline strongly recommends against glucosamine and chondroitin for knee and hip osteoarthritis (ACR/Arthritis Foundation guideline, 2019). Its 2026 update keeps that advice and adds the hand (ACR OA guideline update summary, 2026).

Boswellia and turmeric look more promising, but their trials are small and vary a lot. No study has tested the JointBrex formula itself.

What does have strong evidence? Exercise and weight loss. Our joint pain guide explains simple ways to start.

If you take a blood thinner, five of these ingredients matter: glucosamine, turmeric, bromelain, quercetin and boswellia (HSA Singapore, Warfarin-glucosamine, 2009). Read joint supplements and blood thinners and the JointBrex side effects page before you start.

Check your bottle

How to check the ingredients on your own JointBrex bottle

Two minutes with the bottle in good light.

Names like "joint brex gold", "joint rex" and "joint rx" are other products or versions. This page covers JointBrex Premium, 60 capsules. A quick check of your bottle settles it.

    Find the front name

Look for JointBrex Premium and 60 Capsules on the front label.

  2. 2

    Read the panel

Turn the bottle to the Supplement Facts box. Glucosamine sulfate 1,000 mg should be the first line.

  3. 3

    Read the allergen line

Below the panel, look for crustacean shellfish (crayfish).

  4. 4

    Check the serving

The label says two capsules daily before a meal. See how to use JointBrex.

FAQ

JointBrex ingredients questions

What are the ingredients in JointBrex?

Two capsules list eight ingredients: glucosamine sulfate 1,000 mg, boswellia extract 133.3 mg, chondroitin sulfate 100 mg, turmeric root 100 mg, and 16.7 mg each of quercetin, methionine, MSM and bromelain. The other ingredients are a cellulose capsule and rice flour.

Is there shellfish in JointBrex?

Yes. The label says "Contains: Crustacean shellfish (crayfish)." Glucosamine is usually made from shellfish shells (LiverTox, Glucosamine, 2018). If you have a shellfish allergy, talk to an allergist before you take it.

How much glucosamine is in JointBrex?

There is 1,000 mg of glucosamine sulfate in two capsules, the daily serving on the label. Most trials used 1,500 mg a day, so the label dose is about two thirds of the usual studied amount.

Does JointBrex have turmeric or curcumin?

It has turmeric root, 100 mg per serving. The label says root, not curcumin extract. Root powder is only partly curcumin, so the curcumin dose is much smaller than the 100 mg figure.

Is MSM in JointBrex?

Yes, 16.7 mg per serving. The one MSM knee trial used 3,375 mg a day (Debbi et al., 2011 (MSM RCT)), so the JointBrex amount is about 0.5% of that dose.

Why does the JointBrex sales page not list amounts?

We don't know why. The sales page names six ingredients with no amounts and leaves out quercetin and methionine. The bottle label is the better source, and this page follows the label.

Are JointBrex ingredients safe?

Most side effects reported for these ingredients are mild, like stomach upset. The main checks are shellfish allergy, blood thinners such as warfarin, and blood sugar if you have diabetes. Read JointBrex side effects first.

Is JointBrex vegetarian?

No. The capsule shell is vegetable cellulose, but glucosamine comes from crayfish shell, as the allergen line shows. Chondroitin is also usually taken from animal cartilage.

Is JointBrex Gold the same as JointBrex Premium?

We can't confirm that. This site covers JointBrex Premium, 60 capsules, with the label shown on this page. If your bottle says Gold or another name, compare its own Supplement Facts panel.
